About Jagruti's Rehabilitation Centre in Bangalore

Written & Medically Reviewed By: Dr. Darshan Y. J. , Consultant Psychiatrist (MBBS, MD Psychiatry) with over 9+ years of experience
Last Updated: 02 July 2026

A family searching for a rehabilitation centre in Bangalore at 2 a.m. is often dealing with fear, uncertainty, and urgent questions about what to do next. In Karnataka, approximately 8.6% of people aged 15 and above consume alcohol,[1] making timely access to professional support extremely important.

Jagruti has been serving families across India for over 18 years. Our rehab centre in Bangalore is located in Yelahanka Hobli, Nagadasanahalli, which is approximately 10 km from Kempegowda International Airport and Hebbal Flyover. The location was chosen deliberately: far enough from the city's chaos to provide a calm environment for inpatient rehabilitation, yet close enough for families to visit without exhausting travel.

Our residential rehabilitation centre has 15,000 sq. ft. campus and 3,000 sq. ft. outdoor green lawn for yoga, recreational activities, and physical movement. It has been designed to feel home-like and not institutional, with a total capacity of 60 inpatient beds.

Reliable care isn't a luxury. It's what families need when they decide to seek professional support. Most families tell us they wish they had called months earlier, because structured care matters. Our Bangalore centre is psychiatrist-led with full-time doctors on-site daily and not just visiting consultants.

Take the first step. Call us and we'll help you figure out what your loved one needs.

Looking for a Rehabilitation Centre in Bangalore?

If you're searching for a rehabilitation centre in Bangalore, you've probably already visited a few centres or heard promises that didn't last. Bangalore's high-pressure IT culture, startup hustle, and accessible party scene mean addiction and mental health challenges are more common than most families realise. And finding the right help? That's often the hardest part.

That is where Jagruti comes in. Here is what we do differently.

What Sets Jagruti Bangalore Apart

  • Psychiatrist-Led Medical Supervision - Full-time psychiatrists are on-site daily, not visiting twice a week and your loved one never has to wait days for a medical decision at our inpatient rehabilitation centre. Withdrawal management, medication adjustments, and medical emergencies - everything is handled by doctors who know the patient's history. There is also 24/7 nursing support.
  • On-Site Medical Detox - Detox happens inside our addiction treatment centre, not at an outside hospital. We manage withdrawal safely and comfortably, with round-the-clock monitoring.
  • Dual Diagnosis Treatment - Many of our patients require treatment for both addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. We treat both together, by the same psychiatric team. Why? Untreated co-occurring mental health conditions can increase the risk of relapse.
  • Family-Inclusive Care - Weekly family therapy sessions are part of the programme, not an optional extra. You receive weekly clinical updates as an integral part of the recovery process.
  • Clear Pricing from the Start - We provide transparent pricing and a written breakdown of charges before admission. Our admission team in the recovery centre in Bangalore gives you a complete written breakdown - room type, duration, medical fees, therapy charges before you sign anything. There are no hidden fees.

Who We Have Already Helped in Bangalore

We have helped patients from Yelahanka, Hebbal, Indiranagar, Koramangala, Whitefield, Electronic City, JP Nagar, and surrounding districts such as Ramanagara and Chikkaballapur.

The individuals we support come from diverse backgrounds, including working professionals, startup founders experiencing burnout, college students struggling with prescription drug misuse, and families who carried the burden of addiction for years before seeking help.

Not sure where to begin? Call us and we will help you decide what support your loved one needs.

What conditions does Jagruti Bangalore treat for addiction and recovery?

Addiction can involve a wide range of substances, including alcohol, opioids, cannabis, sedatives, and stimulants, each with different patterns of dependence and recovery needs. [4]. So, every person who walks into our addiction care centre brings a different story. Some have been drinking heavily for years, while others started with prescription pills after a surgery and never stopped. Many have both an addiction and a mental health condition they have never disclosed.

We assess each case individually and then we build a treatment plan that fits.

Addiction - the conditions we see most often at our Bangalore centre:

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Drug addiction
  • Cannabis and marijuana abuse
  • Inhalant addiction
  • Nicotine and tobacco addiction
  • Dual diagnosis
  • Relapse prevention and aftercare

Other conditions we treat alongside addiction:

Many patients who come to us for addiction also need help with mental health or neurological conditions. We provide care for:

Treating addiction alone is rarely enough. Untreated depression, anxiety, and other mental health conditions can increase the risk of relapse, which is why every patient at our rehabilitation facility in Bangalore receives a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation before treatment begins.

What Treatment Programmes Does Jagruti Bangalore Offer?

Every patient who comes to our addiction recovery centre starts with the same question from their family: What exactly happens once they are inside? Here is your answer. The programmes we run depend on the person's medical stability, substance use history, and the level of family support at home.

Inpatient (residential) rehabilitation

Inpatient (residential) rehabilitation

30-day, 60-day, or 90-day tracks. The patient stays at the centre full-time, with 24/7 medical and nursing support.
Outpatient programmes

Outpatient programmes

For patients who are medically stable, have strong family support, and live close enough to travel to Yelahanka regularly. Therapy sessions take place during the day; the patient sleeps at home.
Medically supervised detoxification

Medically supervised detoxification

7 to 14 days, depending on the substance and withdrawal severity. Done on-site, not at an outside hospital. Our de-addiction centre in Bangalore handles withdrawal safely, with round-the-clock nursing.
Dual diagnosis treatment

Dual diagnosis treatment

For patients who have both addiction and a mental health condition (depression, anxiety, bipolar, trauma). Both are treated in parallel, by the same psychiatric team.
Short-term stabilisation

Short-term stabilisation

7 to 10 days for crisis management, followed by step-down to outpatient care. This is used when the patient needs immediate medical control but the family wants them home quickly.
Long-term residential care

Long-term residential care

90+ days for patients with repeated relapses or complex co-morbidities. Slower, deeper work.

What a patient's first 48 hours look like at our recovery centre

Most patients arrive between 10am and 6pm, usually brought by a family member. Here is what actually happens.

Day 1, first two hours:

The admission coordinator and a nurse take basic vitals. The on-call psychiatrist does a brief assessment which is not a full diagnosis yet, but enough to decide if medical detox needs to start immediately. Families stay during this time and a simple consent form is signed by them.

Day 1, evening:

The patient is assigned a room (standard sharing or single, depending on availability and clinical need). Dinner is served in the common dining area. The nursing team does a second round of observations. For alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, medication is given by 9pm. The psychiatrist reviews the plan before leaving for the day.

Day 2, morning:

A full physical and psychiatric assessment is completed by 11am. Blood work (if needed) is sent to a local lab. The patient meets their primary counsellor for the first time which is a 30-minute conversation. Family members receive a verbal update and a written summary.

Day 2, afternoon and evening:

The patient joins their first group session (orientation and psychoeducation). Medication is adjusted if withdrawal symptoms appear. By the end of day 2, a personalized treatment plan is shared with the family that includes estimated duration, therapy schedule, and family visit days.

How admission works

Anyone can call our Bangalore admission team at +91 9822207761 (24x7). A few basic questions are asked. If admission is decided, the patient can come directly to our rehab center in Bangalore at Yelahanka.

Aftercare & Follow-up in Bangalore: What Support Is Available After Treatment?

Completing a residential programme is a major step, but recovery continues long after a patient leaves our addiction recovery centre. We stay involved and provide families with a clear plan for the weeks and months ahead.

The Jagruti follow-up schedule:

Every patient discharged from our Bangalore centre receives a personalised relapse prevention plan. Our team makes follow-up calls at 30, 60, and 90 days post-discharge to check on medication compliance, identify early warning signs, and adjust the plan if needed. Families can reach the same clinical team during this period without having to restart the admission process.

Outpatient support in Bangalore:

Patients stepping down from residential care can continue individual therapy and psychiatrist consultations at our de addiction centre in Bangalore on an outpatient basis. We also coordinate with external counsellors if a family prefers a location closer to their home in the city.

Why Families in Bangalore Seek Private Rehabilitation Support

Karnataka's urban centres, particularly Bengaluru, face significant challenges related to substance use. According to the National Mental Health Survey (2016), illicit substance-use disorders affected 0.6% of men in the state, a figure that underscores a persistent and often hidden problem.[5]. In a fast-paced, high-expectation city like Bengaluru, substance use rarely remains an isolated issue; it is frequently linked to stress, isolation, and untreated mental health conditions.

Bangalore has a strong and active recovery community. Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) has been active in Bengaluru for over 60 years, helping more than 5,000 people recover through daily meetings across 120 locations across the city. [6] Its helpline (98455 87507) receives calls every day from individuals or family members seeking help. Narcotics Anonymous (NA) also offers a peer-led recovery network in Bengaluru.[7]

Bangalore also has several government-run de-addiction options, but they come with their own limitations. However, these public facilities are often overcrowded with long waiting periods. Securing an inpatient bed at a government facility can take weeks, a wait that most families simply cannot afford.

That is why a trusted, professional de-addiction centre matters. At Jagruti, we offer immediate admission, medical detox, dual diagnosis treatment, and round-the-clock psychiatric support. If you are searching for the best rehabilitation centre in Bangalore with private, structured care, we are here.
