About Jagruti's Rehabilitation Centre in Hyderabad

Written & Medically Reviewed By: Dr. Amar Shinde , Senior Psychiatrist (M.B.B.S, D.P.M, F.I.P.S.) with over 23+ years of experience
Last Updated: 02 July 2026

For over 18 years, Jagruti has supported families across India with trusted rehabilitation services. In January 2026, it opened its rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad, bringing compassionate, expert-led care closer to families in the city. Our rehab centre in Hyderabad is located in Nallagandla, on Kanchi Gachibowli Road, behind D-Mart and opposite Aparna Neo Mall in the HUDA Layout. For families in the western part of the city, it sits just within easy reach of Gachibowli, Kondapur, and the wider HITEC City corridor.

The facility is a residential centre with a capacity of 80 beds. It has dedicated detox rooms along with individual and group therapy spaces, set in a calm, residential atmosphere that feels more like a home than a hospital. The design is quite deliberate. People settle into recovery more readily in a place that feels liveable, particularly when a stay can run several weeks or longer.

Recovery often needs more than one kind of support at the same time. Some people need medical detox, others need ongoing psychiatric care, and many need both. As an addiction treatment centre in Hyderabad, Jagruti supports individuals seeking help for alcohol dependence, drug addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions, bringing addiction treatment and mental healthcare together so they work hand in hand. With psychiatrists, psychologists, addiction counsellors and nursing staff all on site, patients are cared for by one team throughout their recovery, rather than being sent from one service to another at each stage.

Across its centres, Jagruti has supported more than 82,000 individuals over the years, and that depth of experience forms the foundation of the care we provide here.

Looking for a Rehabilitation Centre in Hyderabad?

If you are looking for a rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad, you may have already spoken to a few centres or searched online. With so many options available, it can be difficult to know what to look for. Here are some of the most important things to consider.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Addiction and mental health challenges can sometimes occur together. For individuals facing both, Jagruti offers dual diagnosis treatment that addresses each condition as part of a coordinated care plan. Treatment is tailored to the individual's needs, whether they require support for addiction, mental health concerns or both.

Family Involvement Throughout

Family therapy is part of the core programme here, and families receive regular updates on progress. Because the centre is within the city, you are a short drive away rather than a distant phone call, which makes visiting and being involved far more reassuring.

Clear Costs Upfront

The cost you're quoted is the cost you'll pay. Before admission, our team provides a detailed breakdown covering room type, treatment duration, medical care and therapy charges.

Stay Connected Throughout Recovery

The early days of recovery can feel isolating. Choosing an addiction recovery centre in Hyderabad means family can stay close; through visits, phone calls, or simply knowing they are nearby. That connection matters more than most people expect.

We have supported individuals and families from Gachibowli, Kondapur, Madhapur, Manikonda, Kukatpally, Miyapur, Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, HITEC City, and across the wider Hyderabad region, as well as families travelling in from Secunderabad and surrounding districts in Telangana.

Conditions We Treat at Our Centre

According to a national survey by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, more than 5.7 crore people in India need help for alcohol use disorders alone. Yet a large majority never receive any treatment. [2] At our Hyderabad centre, we treat a full range of substance use disorders, including alcohol addiction and drug addiction, along with the mental health conditions that often accompany them. No two treatment plans are the same. An individual’s history, pattern of use, and psychological state is assessed before we start any programme.

Addiction & substance abuse

As a substance abuse treatment centre in Hyderabad, the addiction and substance use disorders treated regularly at our Nallagandla centre include:

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Drug addiction (heroin, cocaine, MDMA, and others)
  • Cannabis and marijuana abuse
  • Prescription drug misuse
  • Inhalant addiction
  • Nicotine and tobacco addiction
  • Dual diagnosis (addiction alongside mental illness)
  • Relapse prevention and aftercare programmes

Our other services

Our other services, covering mental health and neurological conditions:

Underlying mental health conditions and addiction frequently feed into one another, and unaddressed challenges such as depression or anxiety can hinder long-term recovery. To provide comprehensive support, our addiction recovery centre in Hyderabad brings together psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists and rehabilitation specialists who work collaboratively throughout the recovery journey.

Our Treatment Programmes in Hyderabad

Our rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad runs structured and psychiatrist-led programmes. The right programme for a person depends on their medical stability, their history of substance use, and how much support they have at home. Programmes available at our rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad:

The first 48 hours at our Hyderabad centre

Every patient is different, so the following describes a typical sequence rather than a fixed routine. Most people arrive between 10 am and 6 pm, usually brought in by a family member.

Day 1, first two hours:

The admission coordinator and a nurse take basic vitals. The on-call psychiatrist does a brief assessment, enough to decide whether medical detox needs to begin straight away. Families are asked to stay during this period, and a simple consent form is signed.

Day 1, evening:

The patient is given a room, sharing or single depending on availability and clinical need. Dinner is served in the common dining area. The nursing team carries out a second round of observations. For alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, medication is usually started during the evening if required. The psychiatrist reviews the plan before leaving for the day.

Day 2, morning:

A full physical and psychiatric assessment is completed by late morning. Any blood work needed is sent to a local lab. The patient meets their primary counsellor for a first conversation, around half an hour, not therapy yet. Families receive a verbal update and a written summary.

Day 2, afternoon and evening:

The patient joins their first group session, an orientation and psychoeducation introduction. Medication is adjusted if withdrawal symptoms appear. By the end of the day, a personalised treatment plan is shared with the family, including the likely duration, the therapy schedule, and the days set aside for family visits. As an alcohol rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad, we recognise that every person's situation is different, so treatment plans are developed around their individual needs and recovery goals.

How to start admission at our rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad:

Call our Hyderabad admission team (available 24/7). After a few basic questions, if admission is the right step, the patient can come directly to the centre.

You do not need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Our team will guide you through every step.

Aftercare & Follow-up in Hyderabad

Discharge is not where our work ends. Everyone who leaves our Hyderabad centre goes home with a detailed relapse prevention plan, and our support continues long after discharge, setting us apart from many rehab centers in Hyderabad, India.

The Jagruti follow-up schedule: Our team makes follow-up calls at 30, 60, and 90 days after discharge to check on medication adherence, catch early warning signs, and adjust the plan where needed. Families can also reach the same clinical team throughout this period.

Outpatient support in Hyderabad: Patients who step down from residential care can continue individual therapy and psychiatrist consultations at our Hyderabad centre. Where a family prefers something closer to home, we coordinate with external counsellors as well.

Local recovery support groups: Hyderabad has an active recovery community. Alcoholics Anonymous holds regular meetings across the city, and Narcotics Anonymous runs meetings in several areas. [5] [6] These free, peer-led groups offer ongoing fellowship, and many people in recovery find them a helpful part of staying well.

Why Families in Hyderabad Seek Private Rehabilitation Support

Hyderabad is a fast-growing city with a busy lifestyle. New industries, work pressures and daily responsibilities can make it difficult for people to slow down and focus on their wellbeing. The impact of this stress on mental health is real.

According to the WHO, depression and anxiety disorders are among the leading causes of disability worldwide [3], and people living in urban areas often face higher rates of both. For many families in Hyderabad, alcohol dependency or substance use problems can develop gradually over months or even years before they seek professional help.

Hyderabad has government-run mental health and de-addiction services that provide valuable support, including the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) in Erragadda. [4] However, demand for treatment can often exceed available resources. Public healthcare services may have long waiting times, and residential rehabilitation beds can be limited. For families facing an urgent situation, waiting weeks for support is simply not practical.

That is why many families looking for a rehabilitation centre for alcohol in Hyderabad or support for substance use recovery choose private rehabilitation care. At Jagruti, we provide residential treatment, medical detox, psychiatric care and round-the-clock supervision under one roof, helping individuals begin treatment without unnecessary delays.

If you are searching for the best rehabilitation centre in Hyderabad that offers structured, professional care, our team is here to help.

Relapse does not mean recovery has failed. If it happens, families can contact our team immediately for support. For returning patients, we aim to arrange a rapid clinical review and, where appropriate, re-admission within 24 hours. Treatment is then adjusted based on what contributed to the relapse, helping strengthen the next stage of recovery.
